The Wisconsin All-Stars played in Diamond Sports Promotion St. Louis Tournament July 9-12th. The All-Stars played great baseball all weekend long to make it to the Championship game in the U/18 division. The team received great pitching from starters Anthony “Bubba” Laughlin, Brett Bahrs, Nate Santos and Jake Olson. In relief Garret Erfourth, Mitch Berghs and Nate Loomis all pitched well. The team came out swinging in this tournament to win their first game on a run rule 11-1 in 5 innings. In the second game Brett Bahrs again went the distance throwing 7 strong innings to get the win. The All-Stars beat Missouri Tigers 3-1. Brett has been lights out all summer long. To get to the championship game on Sunday the All-Stars played two games in 95 degree heat. The heat index was 110. It was hot. In the Championship game the All-Stars lost to TOP TIER from Chicago area by the score of 6-1. The All-Stars just ran out of gas playing three games in a row. The coaching staff was extremely proud of the team the way they played all weekend long.
