Wisconsin All-Stars Alumni News

Nate Lukas: Former Wisconsin All-Star Nate Lukas is playing in the 2015 NCAA Division II World Series. Nate is a graduate of Grafton High School. He plays baseball for Truman State Bulldogs (NCAA Div II in Kirksville, Missouri). Nate is a hard throwing left handed pitcher. The team went undefeated in the Midwest Regional Tournament, defeating Ashland (Ohio) University in the championship game 6-3. Nate has appeared in 10 games this season, including three starts, and has a 1-2 record.


Kyle Cody: Former Wisconsin All-Star Kyle Cody is ranked the 17th best player in the upcoming MLB amateur draft according to Baseball America. Kyle is going to the University of Kentucky. Kyle is a graduate of Chippewa Falls McDonell High School. He is a right handed pitcher who is throwing 95-98 mph on the hill. Kyle will be a #1 draft pick. He will be the 7th former All-Star to get drafted


UW Milwaukee Baseball: Four former Wisconsin All-Stars are set to graduate this year from UW Milwaukee. They are Ryan McShane (SS/2nd base), Sam Koenig (3rd Base), Mike Schneider (LHP), Justin Jaquish (RHP). Sam was the 2nd leading batter on the team this year with a BA of .361. He also led the team in Home Runs with 14 and in RBI’s with 52. There is a good chance that Sam could also get drafted in the upcoming MLB amateur draft.


UW LaCrosse Baseball: Six former Wisconsin All-Stars will be playing in the 2015 NCAA Division III College World Series for UW LaCrosse Eagles baseball team. The players are Nic Pierick (Highland HS), Lucas Schultz (West Salem HS), Nate Roethle (Slinger HS), Troy Kenkel (Menomonee Falls HS), Jameson Sadowske (Mukwonago HS) and Nate Heli (Sheboygan Falls HS).


Jameson Sadowske: Former Wisconsin All-Stars Jameson Sadowske (senior right handed pitcher at UW LaCrosse) was selected to the ABCA/Rawlings 1st Team. ABCA is the American Baseball Coaches Association. Sadowske was also selected to the NCAA III Midwest Regional All-Tournament Team after finishing 2-0 with a 1.12 earned run average in two appearances. He limited opponents to a .194 batting average. He has a single-season school record nine saves this year, breaking the record of eight set by Cory Anderson in 1997. Sadowske leads the WIAC in saves and appearances (21) this year as he earned all-conference first team honors. He is second in career saves at UW-L with 12. Sadowske is 2-0 with a 0.74 earned run average this year while holding opponents to a .194 average this season. He has allowed three earned runs and three extra-base hits (two doubles, one home run) in 36.2 innings. Sadowske was a 2015 D3baseball.com All-Midwest Region First Team selection.

The Wisconsin All-Stars coaching staff is very proud that we have had 25 players sign a national letter of intent to play college baseball from our 2014 teams. We are also very proud that the average college scholarship earned by our players is $16,500 a year. That comes out to $66,000 for college. Brady Kais Commits University of Davenport

Brady KaisBrady Kais (Greendale High School, Class of 2015) has committed to playing baseball at the University of Davenport (NAIA) in Grand Rapids Michigan. Currently they are ranked #15 in the nation for NAIA colleges. Brady will be majoring in business and finance. Brady received a baseball and an academic scholarship. Brady played on the Wisconsin All-Stars 2013 and 2014 national fall baseball teams.

Dane Helnore Commits to U.W. Stout

Dane Helnore Dane Helnore from Burlington High School, class of 2015 has committed to U.W. Stout. Dane played on the Wisconsin All-Stars 2014 Fall U/17 National Baseball Team. Dane pitched and played 3rd base. Dane was voted 1st Team All-Conference in 2014 for his high school. The Wisconsin All-Stars coaching staff is very proud of Dane and his accomplishments playing baseball. We wish him nothing but the very best in college.

2015 AllStars Barnstorming tour

The 2015 Wisconsin All-Stars U/17 team (made up of 2016 and 2017 graduates) will be going on an old fashioned barnstorming tour of cities that once had a team play in the Professional Negro Baseball League. The team will be traveling to Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Michigan and Minnesota. The team will play against the best high school exposure showcase teams from those states at college baseball fields. Players on the team will be seen by college coaches from BIG 10, Horizon, Missouri Valley, ACC, Big East, Pioneer League, Ivy League, Conference USA, Mid America, Southeastern, Sun Belt, Big 12 and many more. When traveling the All-Stars travel in there own bus. The bus has a 32 inch TV monitor, DVD player and a great sound system. The 2015 All-Stars will play a challenging schedule, but the pay off is the exposure players on the team will receive. Our players will be scouted by more college coaches than any team in the nation. We want the best baseball players from our state to play on the team. Make sure you register for our 2015 summer and fall national baseball team tryouts. Mike Rufer Commits to Carroll University

Mike Rufer (class of 2015, Brookfield Central) has committed to playing baseball at Carroll University (NCAA Div III). Mike helped Brookfield Central to a WIAA State Summer Baseball Championship. Mike played on the Wisconsin All-Stars 2014 U/17 Fall National Baseball Team.



Connor Fedders Commits to Madison College

Connor Fedders (class of 2015, Union Grove High School) has signed a national letter of intent to play baseball at Madison College in Wisconsin. Madison college is one of the top JUCO college baseball programs in the Mid-West. The team finished in 3rd place in the JUCO College World Series in 2014. Connor is a right handed pitcher that throws his fastball in the mid 80's. He has a excellent curveball and change up that he uses effectively to upset hitters timing. Connor Moroder Commits to North Dakota

Connor Moroder from Pewaukee High School (class of 2015) has committed to playing baseball at the University of North Dakota. North Dakota is a NCAA Division I baseball program. They play in the Western Athletic Conference. The head baseball coach is Jeff Dodson. Coach Jeff stated that Connor is one of his top recruits. He has Connor slated to play 3rd base. Connor played on the Wisconsin All-Stars 2013 and 2014 fall national U/17 baseball teams.

Derek Van Pay Commits to St. Cloud State University

Derek Van Pay (Denmark High School, Class of 2015) has committed to St. Cloud State University Huskies in Minnesota. St. Cloud State plays in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NCAA Div II). Head coach Pat Dolan considers Derek to be one of the best pitchers in our state class of 2015. They scouted Derek when the All-Stars played in the Minnesota Blizzard – Scout Stop Showcase Tournament over Labor Day weekend. Derek was one of the best pitchers on the All-Stars 2014 Fall U/17-18 Showcase Exposure Team. Derek throws his fastball in the 85-87 mph range. He has a nasty curveball and a very good circle change he uses effectively to upset hitters timing. Derek has a GPA of 3.61 and an ACT test score of 29. He is going to major in mechanical engineering in college.

Adam Klos Commits to Century College

Suni Adam Klos from West Salem High School (class of 2015) has committed to playing baseball at Century College in Minnesota. Century College is one of the best JUCO college baseball programs in the United States. In 2013, they were runner ups in the JUCO College World Series. During the past 4 years, Century has had 7 players named NJCAA All Americans, and 11 players named to the NJCAA All Region XIII team. In addition, the team has had numerous members selected to play in the Northwoods League, one of the premiere summer college baseball leagues in the country.
