Former All-Star Ben Heller Called Up to Yankees Bullpen

Ben HellerBen Heller played for Wisconsin All-Stars his sophomore and junior years of high school. The right-handed pitcher, at 6'3", 205 pounds, threw 85-86 mph at the time. After graduating from Whitewater High School in 2009, he went on to play at Olivet Nazarene University (NAIA).  Working with ONU head coach Todd Reid, Ben increased his strength and velocity, throwing in the low 90s when drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 22nd round in 2013. With his fastball reaching 95-97 mph, he was traded to the New York Yankees on July 31, 2016. Ben played for the Yankees AAA team, the Columbus Clippers, before receiving a call up to the Yankees bullpen. The Wisconsin All-Stars coaching staff couldn't be more proud of Ben for his incredible dedication and hard work at every level along the way.

Former All-Star Kyle Cody Selected in MLB 2016 Amateur Draft

Cody.Kyle UKpicKyle Cody became the ninth Wisconsin All-Stars player selected in the MLB amateur draft. He was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 6th round.

Kyle played for Wisconsin All-Stars his junior year of high school, attending Chippewa Falls McDonnell High School. At that time, his fastball was 86-89 mph. Kyle committed to playing baseball at the University of Kentucky (NCAA D1). Although he was drafted after high school in the 33rd round by the Phillies, Kyle chose to continue his education and baseball commitment to Kentucky. His hard work and dedication brought his fastball velocity up to 95-97 and was paired with a nasty curveball. In 2015, Kyle was drafted once again, this time by the Minnesota Twins in the 2nd round. After negotiations broke down, Kyle finished his education at Kentucky and re-entered the draft upon graduating. He joined the Texas Rangers in the 2016 MLB Amateur Draft and has a bright future ahead.
